We welcome clients coming in from communities outside of the Lake Country area such as Vernon and Kelowna. We will do our best to schedule appointments that will take into consideration your travel time and busy life schedules.
We practice "integrative" counselling which draws from a wide variety of techniques ensuring clients receive the therapy that is best suited to help them achieve their goals.
Our foundational approach is "client-centered." This means that the counsellor values you - your concerns matter to us. Together we will explore your concerns, define your goals, and journey toward fulfillment of those objectives in ways that work for you. Whether an individual, couple or a family, you will benefit from either face-to-face session with a counsellor or online counselling services offered to those finding it difficult to travel to the Vernon- Kelowna area.
MARRIAGE or COUPLES COUNSELLOR
Heidi Maskell is a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator. As a Prepare/Enrich Counsellor she is trained in the use of couples inventories designed to assess couples' relationship strengths and growth areas such as communication, personality issues, relationship dynamics, and spiritual beliefs. Whether you are in a good marriage and want to enrich your relationship, or in a marriage that is stuck or at the brink of breakup, a couples or marriage counsellor using the Prepare/Enrich inventory can help you restore, build and maintain a happy marriage.
PREMARITAL PACKAGE
We offer a package of five sessions for only $300.00 for couples preparing for marriage. Be proactive with one of the biggest decisions of your life. Invest in your marriage by preparing for your life together through marriage preparation. It's fun, interactive, informative and will significantly increase your odds of success in marriage. This would make a great wedding gift to give couples - help them to start on a solid footing and on the road to a happy and lifelong marriage.
FAMILY COUNSELLING
Family dynamics can be very challenging. Whether you are a young family with babies and toddlers or moving into the teen or young adult years, family relationships can be challenging. Parents or children can to learn to understand their roles in the family, how to communicate more effectively, how to resolve conflict and how to navigate the multitude of changes that take place in family dynamics over the years. We also provide therapy for families who have recently undergone loss and need support through the grieving process. Whatever your concerns are we are here to help you to gain insight, solve problems and improve your family relationships.
